temple grandin
Temple Grandin is an American professor of animal science at Colorado State University, best selling author ,autistic activist, and consultant to the livestock industry on animal behavior .She was born in Boston, MA on August 29,1947.At an early age Temple Grandin was diagnosed with autism , she had a hard time talking and having social interactions with others. She had sensory overload and sensory processing disorder ,Temple was also taking anti-depressants. Due to her condition whenever she encountered a door she would begin to experience anxiety attack. Temple never settled down so she never had children, never married or was ever in a long term relationship.
Over the years ,Temple got a bachelor's degree in psychology, master's degree in animal science, and a doctoral degree in animal science. During her first year of college she made a "squeeze machine" which is compared to a devise used to calm cattle. Temple used the machine to calm herself down. She designed live stock handling systems ,cattle corrals, stockyards and races. Temple helped animals such as cattle/cows and pigs, but really all animals who are in slaughterhouses.
Temple became an a best selling author. Some of her books are "The Autistic Brain", "Animals make us Humans", and "The Way I See It". She was also an inventor , she invented a restraint system to prevent animals from getting hurt. Temple currently works in Colorado State University as and animal science professor and also lives in Colorado but travels around to give speeches.//if one were se obstacles as opportunities and allow themselves to learn from those experiences they can better themselves. And use those experiences for the better.
